I know this is something so small and minute compared to all the damage and lives ruined by the riots currently happening all across the UK, but i had to do something to express how i feel and how thankful i am to all of the police and other emergency services for dealing with all of this madness.
The attitudes and actions of the people rioting absolutely disgust me, and i am currently ashamed to live in 'No longer Great' Britain. All i hope is that not all of the young teenagers in the UK get lumped into the same stereotype as these idiotic, selfish thugs.
I am 18, and although i am not rich, and barely get paid over the minimum wage.. I am not angry at the government, or other tax payers, or business owners. I have goals and dreams and ambitions. One day i will open my own bakery, and cakes will be my full time career.
And I do not feel the need to steal, damage and destroy this country in order to get there.
